Cloud Computing and ERP are changing the landscape of business world. For this assignment, first explain the concept of Cloud Computing as well as understanding of ERP. Then, identify two KSA organizations that have benefited from implementing ERP & Cloud Computing technology. These organizations may be ones you have personal experience with or that you have identified and studied through research. Briefly describe both organizations and then answer the following questions for each:
Ques-1: What technology did they implement with respect to ERP and Cloud computing technology? And discuss why did they choose that technology? 2- Marks
Ques-2: Discuss the business factors which were evaluated prior to implementation? 1.5- Marks
Ques-3: Evaluate information deficiencies existed prior to implementation? 1.5- Marks Ques-4: Narrate, what benefits were gained after implementing the technology? 1- Marks Ques-5: Do the benefits associated with the technology outweigh the costs? 1- Marks

Saudi based organization, KSA-Ceramics (Imaginary Name), provides quality building solution in ceramic products (porcelain tiles, sanitary wares and accessories, ceramic tiles), electric water heaters, bathrooms fittings including baths, shower trays, mirrors, and mixers.
This organization has 50 years of experience and well-earned status for manufacturing quality and standards both nationally and inter nationally. It installed its own plant to manufacture Electric Water Heater in Dubai for quick delivery. It imports different accessories form different sectors of world as per requirements. A part of Electric Water Heater, the Temperature Gauge, is imported from India.
KSA-Ceramics has established a distribution channel that first imports the items in Riyadh and then supplies to Dubai plant as per requirements. The ‘Temperature Gauges’ are imported by sea through speedy and cost-effective vessels from India to maintain the prices as per customers’ demand. it takes 20-22 days of transit from India to Riyadh to Dubai plant. It is about 14-15 days from Mumbai port to Riyadh Dry port and 5-7 days from Riyadh to Plant at Dubai.
The demand of Electric Water Heater suddenly increased due to cessation of one of its big competitor manufacturer of Electric Water Heater, whose owners were caught in
fraudulent case. The demand of customers of sealed organization shifted towards KSA-Ceramics. The Operations Manager contacted the management for delivery of “Temperature Gauges” on urgent bases of fulfil the customer demand. The management
called Supply Chain Manager to give suggestions to cope with this situation. The supply
chain manager advised to import by air for early delivery. But management refused since high cost is involved in air shipment which increases the price of Electric Water Heater, and these high prices would not be bearable by the customers.
As a Supply Chain Manager, what would you suggest to management to cope with this situation in a cost-effective way? 5- Marks
