Racism is still relevant today and is a serious problem. This week we are going to look at racism in today’s society. You have been assigned to a position, either racism should be allowed under the right of freedom of speech or not allowed. Students can use the guiding questions to plan and prepare the groups position; however it is expected that each group will expound on the assigned position using other resources, to touch on other considerations of the topic:What are some reasons that people would have this position?Who benefits the most from this viewpoint?Who does not benefit from this viewpoint?What sort of solutions would this viewpoint support?Why is this viewpoint vital to addressing this social problem?Students must make one single post supporting their assigned position to the “DEBATE” Discussion board forum.
