Discussion Leader Post 700 Words Using all sources

Discussion Leader. Our class will be divided into five (5) different groups of discussion leaders, posted to the Announcement section of Blackboard at the beginning of the semester. Each member of each group is responsible for posting a thorough discussion that touches on the guiding text for the unit (the one at the top of each list) as well as one or more of the other, primary essays. Use the guiding text as a lens through which to read the primary essay(s). At the end of your post, please provide the class with a guiding question for the discussion. Keep in mind that Discussion Leaders must also fulfill the Discussion Post requirement (see below), even on the week they are “leading.”Beyond those guidelines, you may take your discussion leader response in any direction you choose, but do make sure to write with critical depth, and to quote the text(s) you’re addressing.To review, your Discussion Leader post should:Total at least 700 wordsUse the guiding text as a lens through which to read the primary essays(s)Have critical depth and quotes from the textsInclude a critical discussion question that focuses on the readings and course themes, rather than launches the discussion into a direction beyond the texts.Do your post total at least 700 words, and has it come in on time? (25%)Is your post well-written, and does it incorporate material from both the primary readings and the accompanying essays? (25%)Does your post add something new to the conversation about these texts and concepts? (25%)Are there critical discussion questions that focus on the texts (rather than pointing away from the texts), and are those questions well-suited for a lively class discussion? (25%)*Remember, also, to weigh back into the discussion with a post of your own! (This is a separate “Discussion Post” grade.)
